A season of You

The commitment is hard

Others catch my eye

How I long to be in his arms

You tell me to be carful

but I disobey

I give in to my desire for affection

then he disappears

my heart is left in dismay

how I longed for his “love”

but he has no commitment to you

how can I ask someone to love me

who does not even love you

It’s not the world’s definition of love

It’s a love so true

Unconditional,

despite of what we may do or don’t do

it still saddens me

because the desire remains

but now I get a glimpse

of how your heart breaks

for You loved us so

You gave your only son

taking this special gift for granted,

at times quickly receiving it,

only to turn away.

Leaving You deserted in the end
